Jon Hrobsky is a Partner at The Bernhardt Group. He is a nationally recognized strategist for executive branch and legislative policy and project approvals. With senior-level experience at both the U.S. Department of the Interior and on Capitol Hill, Jon brings a deep understanding of how complex projects intersect with regulatory frameworks, political decision-making and public scrutiny.

Jon previously served as a Senior Advisor at the U.S. Department of the Interior, where he played a key role in energy policy and regulations. Jon led the Department’s efforts on the landmark Energy Policy Act of 2005. He also oversaw the largest oil and gas lease sale in U.S. history, balancing economic development with environmental review and stakeholder engagement. Earlier in his career, he served as Deputy Director of the U.S. Minerals Management Service and Legislative Director and Policy Advisor in the U.S. House of Representatives.
Jon is well known nationwide as one of the leading offshore energy policy experts. Congressional leaders and the administration often seek his views on legislation and policy considerations.
